2. Data processed, purposes and legal bases
a) Browsing data
The IT systems and software used to run this website acquire, during their normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols (for example IP addresses, browser and device type, pages requested, and the date and time of each request). This data is processed by the hosting provider in the server logs for the sole purpose of ensuring the correct operation and security of the site. It is not used to identify users or for profiling, except where necessary to establish liability in the event of computer crimes.
Legal basis: the controller's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in the operation and security of the website.
b) Contact data
When you write to us at the email address shown or call the published phone number, we process the personal data you freely choose to provide (for example your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message). This data is used solely to respond to your requests and to manage any pre-contractual or contractual relationship that may follow.
Legal basis: the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request and/or the performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR) and, for simply replying to a request for information, the controller's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
3. Cookies and tracking tools
This website uses no profiling cookies and no third-party analytics or tracking tools. Typefaces (fonts) are hosted directly on the site and involve no requests to external servers. For these reasons there is no cookie consent banner.
4. Nature of the provision of data
Providing browsing data is inherent in the use of Internet protocols. Providing contact data is free and optional; however, failing to provide the necessary data (such as a contact address) makes it impossible for us to reply to you.
5. Recipients and data processors
Data is neither disclosed nor transferred to third parties for marketing purposes. It may be processed on our behalf, and within the limits of their respective purposes, by parties who provide us with technical services, appointed as data processors under Article 28 of the GDPR:
- Host S.p.A. (Host.it) — Corso Svizzera, 185, 10149 Turin (Italy): provider of the website hosting service and management of the server logs. Data is processed within the European Union.
- Proton AG — Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva (Switzerland): provider of the email service for the contact mailbox. Processing takes place in Switzerland (see point 6).
Data may also be disclosed to public authorities where required by a legal obligation.
6. Transfer of data outside the European Union
Use of the email service entails processing contact data in Switzerland. Switzerland is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission: its level of data protection is deemed adequate to that of the European Union, and the transfer is therefore permitted without the need for additional safeguards.
7. Retention period
Contact data is kept for as long as necessary to handle your request and to meet subsequent legal obligations; if no relationship is established, it is deleted. Browsing data held in the server logs is kept only for as long as strictly necessary and in accordance with the technical policies of the hosting provider.
8. Your rights
In relation to the data processed, you may at any time exercise the rights provided for in Articles 15–22 of the GDPR, where applicable: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, data portability and, where relevant, withdrawal of consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal).
To exercise your rights you can write to us at info@minerva-solutions.it.
9. Complaint to the supervisory authority
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes the applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the country where you habitually reside.
10. Changes to this policy
The controller may update this policy to reflect legal or organisational changes. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this document.
